Wanja ist am Leben
Eine Performance-Lesung, in der eine russische Schauspielerin das Stück Wanja ist am Leben von Natalia Lizorkina eindringlich auf Deutsch liest. Es ist die Geschichte einer Mutter eines gefangenen russischen Soldaten, die versucht, sich durch die staatliche Propaganda und Lügen in einem totalitären Staat zu kämpfen. Die Performance verbindet die persönliche Geschichte der in Frankfurt am Main lebenden Schauspielerin mit ihrer Rolle und überwindet so die Grenzen von Zeit und Raum. Sie zeigt, dass Konflikte und Fluchtschicksale nicht fern von uns sind und erinnert daran, dass die Schrecken des Totalitarismus nicht vergessen werden dürfen.

A lecture performance in which a Russian actress reads the play Vanya is alive by Natalia Lizorkina in German. It is the story of a mother of a captured Russian soldier who tries to fight her way through state propaganda and lies in a totalitarian state.
The performance combines the personal story of the actress, who lives in Frankfurt am Main with her role and thus transcends the boundaries of time and space. It shows that conflicts and the fate of refugees are not far from us and reminds us that the horrors of totalitarianism must not be forgotten.
