Kannst du die Sonne hören? Hören wir zu? Solar Platter for Winterwerft lädt uns ein, unseren nächsten Stern im Zeitalter des Anthropozäns neu zu entdecken. Astronomen haben lange nach der Quelle der Wärme der Korona in monströsen Schleifen aus Sonnenplasma über der Photosphäre gesucht. Und so entsteht eine grenzenlose, interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit zwischen Esther Saladin, Inês Rebelo und Silvia Rosani. Freut euch auf eine partizipative Cello-Performance, flackernde Wurzeln, Heizungen im Countdown und bewegte Zeichnungen.
Über die Künstlerinnen
Inês Rebelo ist Künstlerin, Digital Media Designerin und Pädagogin. Im Mittelpunkt von Rebelos Arbeit steht eine astronomische Expedition. Ihre jüngsten Werke, die sich vor allem mit Zeichnung, Malerei und Installation befassen, regen uns dazu an, unseren nächsten Stern im Kontext des Anthropozäns neu zu betrachten.
Silvia Rosani studierte Komposition in Italien und an der Mozarteum Universität Salzburg, während sie gleichzeitig einen Abschluss in Elektrotechnik absolvierte. Sie promovierte an der Goldsmiths, University of London, wo sie als Associate Lecturer tätig war. Sie ist Professorin für Computermusik am Conservatorio B. Marcello in Venedig.

Esther Saladin, Cellistin aus Frankfurt, tritt als Solistin, Kammer- und Ensemblemusikerin auf.
Esther ist Mitglied des Ensemble Ubu und des Trio Radial. Sie hat zahlreiche Werke für Violoncello solo sowie Kammer- und Ensemblestücke uraufgeführt. In Zusammenarbeit
mit anderen Künstlern entwickelt Esther eigene Musikprojekte (SCHATTENSTIMME, PLEXUS,
WHITE MASKS).

Can you hear the Sun? Are we listening? Solar Platter for Winterwerft invites us to re-discover our closest star in the age of the Anthropocene. Astronomers have long sought the source of the corona’s heat in monstruous loops of solar plasma above the photosphere. And so, it bursts with boundless, interdisciplinary collaboration between Esther Saladin, Inês Rebelo and Silvia Rosani. Expect a participatory cello performance, flickering roots, heaters in countdown and moving drawings.
About the artists
Inês Rebelo is an artist, digital media designer and educator. An astronomical expedition lies at the heart of Rebelo’s practice. Working primarily across drawing, painting and installation, her recent works encourage us to revisit our closest star in the context of the Anthropocene.
Silvia Rosani studied composition in Italy and at Mozarteum Universität Salzburg, while completing a degree in electronic engineering. She holds a PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London, where she worked as Associate Lecturer. She is a professor of Computer Music at Conservatorio B.Marcello in Venice.

Esther Saladin, cellist based in Frankfurt, performs as a soloist, chamber and ensemble
