As with all the most important artistic endeavors in human history, this is a task that is at once aesthetic and political—and because of the magnitude of the crisis that besets the planet, it is now freighted with the most pressing moral urgency.”\nAmritav Gosh\nWas kann und soll Theater in diesen Zeiten mannigfaltiger ökologischer, sozialer, ökonomischer und spiritueller Krisen?\nWenn die Welt brennt, was ist die Aufgabe des Tänzers?\nWas ist die Aufgabe von Kultur in solchen Zeiten – Zeiten des Feuers, der Dürre, der gewaltsamen Konflikte, dem Kampf um Ressourcen?\nWie kann ein Theater im Anthropozän aussehen, das sich mutig und kreativ den brennenden Auseinandersetzungen stellt – die Blase rein Mensch-menschlicher Auseinandersetzung durchbricht und den Kräften und Entitäten jenseits humaner Echoräume auf der Bühne Raum gibt?\nWelche Fragen müssen formuliert, welche Sprachen gefunden, welche Gangarten erprobt, welche Räume erschlossen, welche Netzwerke wollen gewoben werden?\nHow can the climate catastrophe, with all its floods, storms, droughts, all its displaced people, refugees, deaths, be brought into stage?\nWie kann all denen Stimme und Agenda gegeben und Gehör geschenkt werden, denen eben dies im Zuge der Trennung von Kultur und Natur aberkannt wurde? Den Wäldern, Bergen, Flüssen, Insekten, Bakterien, Tieren, Pflanzen und Ökosystemen?\nIn unseren Gesprächsformaten wollen wir uns diesen Fragen widmen, mit Gesprächspartner*Innen aus der nationalen und internationalen Theatergemeinschaft, Kulturschaffenden, Aktivist*Innen, Träumer*Innen und mit euch.\nFr, 3.2 Gäste: Geza Pinter (Sinum Theatre, HU), Tom Bailey (Mechanimal,UK)\nSo, 5.2 „A work in the ruins“ mit Dougald Hine (A school called Home)\nFr, 10.2 Gäste: Ursula Pehlke (Freie Bühne Wendland), Ton und Kirschen Theater\n \nENG\nWhat can and should theatre do in these times of manifold ecological, social, economic and spiritual crises?\nWhen the world is burning, what is the task of the dancer?\nWhat is the task of culture in such times – times of fire, drought, violent conflict, the struggle for resources?\nWhat can a theatre in the Anthropocene look like that courageously and creatively confronts the burning conflicts – that breaks through the bubble of purely human-human conflict and gives space on stage to the forces and entities beyond human echo chambers?\nWhat questions need to be formulated, what languages found, what gaits tested, what spaces opened up, what networks woven?\nHow can the climate catastrophe, with all its floods, storms and droughts, its displaced people, refugees, extinct people, be brought onto the stage?\nHow can all those be given a voice and an agenda and listened to who have been deprived of this in the course of the separation of culture and nature? The forests, mountains, rivers, insects, bacteria, animals, plants and ecosystems?\nIn our discussion formats, we want to address these questions with interlocutors from the national and international theatre community, cultural workers, activists, dreamers and with you.\n
