DESCRIPTION:Die Musik von the MIMIKOTO project lässt sich beschreiben als Symbiose diverser Stilrichtungen, die von Jazz und elektronischer Musik abstammen, von Funk-Fusion bis hin zu Soul-Jazz und Jazz House. Das Projekt versteht sich als Kollektiv, und aus dem Kollektiv „the MIMIKOTO project“ entstehen bandartige Formationen, die eine temporäre Erscheinungsform eines Ausschnitts des Kollektivs darstellen, und zu gegebener Zeit bereit sind sich neu zu formieren. Die derzeitige Besetzung, mit der unterem anderem Stücke des 2022 erschienenen Albums „Blackbird’s Philosophy“ interpretiert werden, umfasst Igor Grabez (electric piano), Swann Pfeiffer (drums), Insa Gaidt (alto sax), Noah Karls (tenor sax, efx) und Fabio Kumori (bass, bass-synth).\n\nThe music of the MIMIKOTO project can be described as a symbiosis of diverse styles derived from jazz and electronic music, from funk fusion to soul jazz and jazz house.
