DESCRIPTION:Wiederholung – ein Wort meist negativ behaftet, ohne Fortschritt, ohne Perspektive. Wiederholen kann aber auch im positiven Sinne ein „sich erinnern“ sein, so wie die alten Griechen schon damals lehrten, dass alles Erkennen ein Erinnern ist.\nRepetition beschäftigt sich musikalisch genau mit dieser Frage:\nIst alle Wiederholung rückwärts gerichtet oder kann Mensch sich auch vorwärts gerichtet erinnern? Gibt es überhaupt eine Wiederholung im wortwörtlichen Sinne?\nKlassisch ausgebildet begibt sich die Frankfurter Cellistin auf die Suche nach neuen Ausdrucks- und Klangmöglichkeiten ihres Instruments und erweitert diese durch eine Loop-Station. In freier Improvisation werden Melodien wiederholt, fortgesponnen und erscheinen am Ende vielleicht in einem ganz neuen Gewand. So wie ein Gedanke, der im Alltag mitwandert und stets neue Bedeutung findet. Hierbei schafft sie transzendente meditative Momente und flaniert dezent zwischen Ambient, Minimal Music und Klassik. \n\nRepetition – a word with mostly negative connotations, without progress, without perspective. But repetition can also be “remembering” in a positive sense, just as the ancient Greeks taught back then that all recognition is remembering.\nRepetition musically deals with precisely this question:\nIs all repetition backwards or can humans also remember forwards? Is there repetition in the literal sense at all?\nClassically trained, the Frankfurt cellist sets out in search of new expressive and sound possibilities for her instrument and expands them with a loop station. In free improvisation, melodies are repeated, spun on and perhaps appear in a completely new guise at the end. Just like a thought that wanders along in everyday life and always finds new meaning. In the process, she creates transcendent meditative moments and strolls discreetly between ambient, minimal music and classical music.\n\n
