SUMMARY:Open Atelier: Fragments of a Movement
DESCRIPTION:In diesem Workshop formen wir Objekte aus Ton, um zu erforschen und zu lernen, wie wir unseren Gedanken und Gefühlen in Krisenzeiten Raum und Form geben können, sodass sie für uns selbst und andere sichtbar und erfahrbar werden. Fühlen wir Angst, Wut, Hoffnung, nichts davon oder alles zugleich? Wo stoßen wir mit dem Material an Grenzen? Wo funktioniert es gut? Welche neuen Prozesse und Ideen werden in uns ausgelöst, wenn wir uns mit dem Material ausdrücken?\nWorkshop auf dem protagon kulturgelände\nÜber die Künstlerin\nXenia studierte Industrial Design an der Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen. Im Studium setzte sie den Fokus auf Aspekte wie Nachhaltigkeit und Gleichberechtigung und später auf künsterlisch-skulpturale Arbeiten. In ihren Werken beschäftigt sie sich mit Materialität, Sensorik, Interaktivität und nicht-verbalen Kommunikationsformen. Aktuell studiert Xenia an der Frankfurt University of applied Sciences den Master Performative Künste in sozialen Feldern.\n  \nWebsite:\nhttps://xeniamartin.myportfolio.com/ ( https://xeniamartin.myportfolio.com/ )\n \n \nEnglish\nIn this workshop, we’ll shape objects out of clay to explore and learn how to give our thoughts and feelings space and form in times of crisis, making them visible and tangible to ourselves and others. Do we feel fear, anger, hope, none of these things, or all of them at once? Where do we reach our limits with the material, where does it work well, what new processes and ideas are triggered within us by expressing ourselves with clay?\nWorkshop at protagon kulturgelände\n \nAbout the artist\nXenia studied Industrial Design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. During her studies, she focused on aspects such as sustainability and equality, and later on artistic and sculptural works. In her works, she deals with materiality, sensory perception, interactivity, and non-verbal forms of communication.
